Champion Industrial traces its roots back to 1933 when three men led by George Hansen founded Hansen’s as a plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical contracting firm. Following his service in World War 2 as a Navy Seabee, James C. Champion joined the Hansen’s team as an apprentice sheet metal worker. After years of working through the ranks, Mr. Champion, two other employees, and a group of investors bought Hansen’s in 1963. By 1974 the Champion family took over full ownership of the business and renamed it Champion Industrial Contractors, Inc. The legacy continues today, with our current President, Eli Champion, following in the footsteps of prior generations of Champions.
